Default car won't start

hey guys, i've been having some trouble with my accord since i swapped in a different motor, a jdm f22b. it threw some CELs & for one of them i had to get a new fast idle thermo valve. before, the car would start after a few attempts & have a pretty rough idle. now, you hear the battery click on and the engine weakly tries to turn over once and then just stops. i just put a new battery in the other day. before i put the new fitv in, it gave me cels 1, 6, and 14. now that i put in the new fitv, the code 14 is gone (14= iac valve/fitv). 1 and 6 are for o2 sensor #1 and the ECT sensor.

any advice?

Umm if you've been cranking on it alot without letting the alternator charge things back up. You might have a dead battery... new or not.

no, the battery is still working fine. i've been trying not to crank it too much in fear of doing just that. i think it may be flooded, since the ECT is probably busted & the o2 sensor's failing somehow... i'm gonna try to get out soon and buy some spark plug sockets & a torque wrench, but i've never seen or heard a flooded engine. does what i described sound like the right symptoms for a flooded engine?

O2 sensor does not work on a cold engine, if it is not too cold outside then the ECT sensor will not mean a whole lot either. You need to check the basics, spark, fuel, timing set up, and compression. Yes it may be flooded, check the plugs for being too wet. Just like the old days, hold the throttle open and crank and crank to get more air in to dry the plugs. Crushed wiring could make the injectors stay on all the time too.

Engine changes results in crushed wiring and problems like yours.
