Default Need some advice on what to do with my 95EJ1

Just like the topic says, I dont have pics so i will explain the situation. I have a black 95 EJ1. Over the past year i have been riddled with accidents and break-ins that have left me questioning whether i want to fix my car up or sell it to purchase an 07 Si. The car is running a d16z6 with a y8 IM and a 99 ex tranny. I have about 145k on the body and about 90-100k on the motor. A break in left me with no radio and has forced me partially strip the interior. The front right side is damaged due to rear ending an accord. The hood, rt. fender, ft. bumper, headlight // turn signal, and radiator support all need to be replaced // pulled out. I was thinking about selling the car "as is" just to have enough to put a lil down payment on an 07. My question to you guys is this, should i spend the 7k it would take to get my EJ1 to my standards or should i just sell it and call it a day? I have had the car for 5 years now so i have had my money worth. What should i do?

The bad thing about buying a newer car is high insurance, monthly car payments and other fees. You also wont be able to do to many things to the car to modify it (perfomance, looks) if you are into that sort of thing.

I dont know what i would do b/c once u consider how much money a new car will be it might just be worth it to fix up the old car. if you do the work yourself i would say keep the old car and fix it, but its your car, u do what u think is best

good luck

That is very true. I think payments on an Si would be around 350 plus whatever insurance is on a 2dr sports car. I would most likely be better off taking a personal loan out for 10k and pay like 200 a month and have new suspension, paint and a b18c. Then again i test drove the 07 Si and its really nice. Tough, tough decisions. Thank you for the advice though. Appreciate it.

Don't take out a loan to modify an 11 year old car.

yeah. it would be considered "totaled" out.
and payments would be about $450+ a month on a new si.

yup. buy a new EJ1 and transfer all your good parts over and part out the rest, to finance the "new" EJ1, whatever's left, cut the shell into pieces and sell for scrap metal.
