Not real sure why so many wires. The speaker in the rear of my 92 wagon was a dual coil speaker and had 3 wires running to it (before it totally dry-rotted and became separated from itself! That didn't sound too good at the end.)

Is that 3 red wires to one speaker? Did a previous owner add this wiring? Stock wires would probably have a connector on the end of the wires that plugged into the speaker.

IDK I think my 96 EX only had two wires going into the connector on the rear speakers. I eventually ended up cutting the connector off and soldering it together as I used that connector in another vehicle. I know crutchfield sells adapters to connect aftermarket speakers to the stock connectors. That might be the best option for you.

First thing I would do is turn radio on put a test lite on wires to see if all are hot then i would check to see if other red wires ran to other speakers sometimes they will run only one hot wire from radio to speaker then jump to other speakers to save on wire.
