Default Install cost for Coilovers? socal

a shop quoted me 200 for install and alignment; 2hrs work $160 + $40 alignment.
That seems way steep, anyone get it cheaper?

if someone wants to help out a fellow HTer with a coilover install it would be much appreciated anyone with a shop or tools an knowhow

What tools? You need a metric socket set and a torque wrench. If you don't have even those, um, no offense, maybe modifying cars isn't for you.

In fact, last time I was at Sears (or was it Osh?), I picked up a 3/8 torque wrench and a metric socket set for < $100 total, which is about the cheapest you'll get an install down too, and you get to keep the tools afterwards.

Free install? Not bad at all. Jump on that.

I paid 150 for my koni shocks install with my eibach springs, PLUS, my ASR subframe brace and rear ITR sway. I didnt get an alignment done since I had one done when I replaced my wheels about 20K miles ago. I should get an alignment done.

200 for the coilover install PLUS alignment is a good deal. Where in LA is this shop located?

if your ride height changed then yes, you need to get another alignment

I would take that free install deal up, it's honestly a simple install and you get to hang out with fellow car people and enjoy. bring some beers and burgers.

We normally charge 250.00, but that also includes a corner weight job.
