I've just installed a first gen b16a into my 1990 crx. When I start the car and press on the clutch, it won't go into gear. When the car is off i can go into any gear i want. However, if i put it in first gear, clutch pressed, and start the car, the car lunches(as if its in gear). Even though the clutch cable is pulling the bar up on the tranny, it isn't free. Why would this be, what else is related to the clutch/clutchpedal/clutch cable. Vtec, ground, o2, n knock are not wired yet but i don't think that is relevant. At first I thought it was the cable because i had to mod it, but it works fine. For some reason if i use the clutch spring on the pedal the pedal gets stuck, so I have to take out the spring for now. I got the motor from hmotors, it probably hasn't been turned on for over 10 years if that helps.

when the c.cable is off can you push the clutch arm up and down freely? and when you put the on is it hard or pritty easy?
