Weird tranny problem - help!
Alright, the car in question is an 88 CRX Si with a SOHC ZC and '91 Si tranny. I swapped the drivetrain from a CRX that was wrecked.
It's kind of hard to explain, but you know how when you park a car with a manual tranny on a hill (or any ground that's not level, driveway etc) after you turn off the car if you leave it in gear and don't pull the ebrake, when you let off the clutch the car will roll forward a few inches.
Well, my car does that when it's running. If I'm in my driveway with the car idling and put it in first with my foot on the brake, when I let go of the brake the car will roll forward an inch and just stop and that's with the clutch in. If I put it in neutral it'll keep rolling.
The car seems to drive fine and I didn't notice it 'til just the other day. The clutch cable is adjusted properly and the cable is really tight so the clutch doesn't start grabbing til I'm almost off the pedal.
Any ideas? I'm stumped.

i'd say your clutch cable is'nt adjusted properly, the cable is'nt supposed to be tight and its not supposed to grab that high. your supposed to have about an inch or so of free play in the clutch pedal before it even starts moving the clutch arm, its supposed to fully engage about 2-3 inches off the floor, try backing the adjusting nut off a bit until you have about an inch of free play in the pedal and see if that helps anything. its strange that you say it still does it even in neutral.

No no, it doesn't do it in neutral...
I had the clutch adjusted like you said at first (because that's how I typically like it) but then I adjusted the cable to see if that was the problem. I adjusted it so it enages near the top so that I know the clutch is fully released when my foot is on the floor. So when it still doesn't roll in gear with the clutch in, I'm starting to think it's something inside the tranny.
