Default D16 z6/a6 distibutor Q

have searched but cant find any answers!

have completed 1 mini-me in the past and about to go again on my current car.
last time used the a6 dizzy with slots cut and it just about cut it. it ran.

want to do it properly this time and use a z6 dizzy, is the only difference the plugs?
and can i modify them to fit?

thanks in advance, steve

If you are staying OBD-0 you can't use the Z6 distributor because the reluctor wheels have a different tooth count.
