Look around for CRX Toad's info on this, I think he did a write up if not he would know how to and he also taught me and many others that the SI setup is better.

if you pm and ask nice he might help

It's pretty common to have these things go, you can also custom weld them back on.

Just take it to a shop and ask them to stitch it back up for you. Probably won't even charge you...

usually you give good advice but you must have never worked in a shop because any mechaninc worth a damn that you dont know doesnt do anything for free especially patching something back up..mechanics in shops usually have to warranty their labor which they cant do with a patch up maybe a mom and pop shop but not just any shop.. go to the junkyard and get a pedal assembly its a bitch to do but you can get it done with some patience just remove and replace

If you just ask them to run a weld down a crack, they probably won't make it a big deal. Depending on the place you take it to, they'd probably just treat it under the table and ask you for like $10 or sumthing.

sounds good..but with them rewelding it,will it be more prone to break again rather than replacing it

Probably be stronger, lol. If you really wanted to go all out, weld extra metal on it.
