HiYa, all... Where would the trunk lid activation switch be located for the trunk light to "turn on" when the lid is lifted? I figured I would "spot" a mercury switch somewhere on the left side, but I have not. Reason is that I cant get the light to activate when the lid is opened. (bulb is good) Also, for some reason, my "open trunk lid dash light" on the door ajar indicator glows dimly on the dash then gets bright and stays lit while driving. So I figured that the trunk light switch needed to be looked at. Thanks again!

 

I'm 90% sure it is located on the latching part attached to the deck lid. Might have to remove some trim panel to get to it.

 

Most of the new cars have them located on the latch itself. To be sure, just look at the trunk latch and see if you see any wires going to it. There should a connector on the latch..

 

The switch is actually the trunk lock. If you close the lock by hand, the trunk light will turn off.
