I have a 92 si hb and I know a guyn selling his 2000 si seats, I want to put the into my hb, will they take any modding? will they bolt right up? how low or high will I sit compared to stock? anyone have a picture? with the stock seats if I sit straight up my head hits my sunroof.. I'm 6'4" so I hope they sit lower
Thanks In Advance

si seats aren't the same as integra seats, they are the same as any other 6th gen civic seats with different headrests, which are known for sitting high and holding horribly, i believe they sit higher than 5th gen seats
proof of Si seats being the same as 96-00 non si seats

You can use DC2 rails to get the seats to sit lower in a civic (96-00). They just need to be modified to fit. Im not sure about the fitment into a 92-95 civic though. They might just bolt right up.
Since EGs and DC2s use alot of the same parts the ralis may be the same or the DC2s might bolt right to the floor without any modification. DC2 rails in a EK need to be modified to blot to the floor. The rear mounting point nearest to the armrest needs to be cut and fastened down with a big washer. Good luck.

well the problem lies in my location.. I live in the *** crack of maine.. where a junk yard is common.. but they NEVER have any wrecked civics, or del sols, or anything like that.. I live about 3.5 hours from NH, so do you guys think Ill be pleased with the height of the 2000 si seats? like I said im 6'4", Im not expecting the si seats to feel like recaros or anything, I just want something a little better condition.. and for 50 bucks I didnt think I could go wrong
Thanks for all the feedback

There is a lot of confusion in this thread.
1) Si seats at the same as all other 96-00 civics, same headrest, different fabric.
2) they do sit rather high on stock rails
3) they do NOT bolt into a 92-95 hatch. 3 out of 4 holes line up, the seat sits crooked and puts you way to high.
I would recomend getting them for $50.
You can swap the all the brackets from your hatchback seat to the Si seat and then it will bolt up perfectly. The 96-00 seat will sit about 1" higher than stock hatch, but it's not noticable for daily driving.
Again, all you do is unbolt the rails/sliders from the 92-95 and they bolt perfectly onto 96-00. Takes about 40 minutes of your time.
I own a 93 Civic hatch and 96 coupe and I did the same swap myself.

wtf si seats suck they have HORRIBLE holsters, when u take a turn u go sliding everywhere. My friend replaced his 00 si seats w/ gsr ones and was willing to give me his for free, and i dont even want them cause they suck ***. Your stock seats for the EG are the best bet for you. However if you don't want to listen to my advice then go head and swap them and don't listen to Vero either cause his method sucks. If i was you and MUST have to swap them, I would just get a drill bite and make the forth hole bigger which is located at the rear right on drivers side when you are sitting in it and rear left on passengers side when you are sitting in it. I know this works cause I used 96-00 civic rails in my EG for my racing seats just had to drill biggers holes and thats it.

There are a few reasons why your method is completely stupid.
1) its not safe, you are drilling a hole into the floor in a non-reinforced area, over time the metal will warp and could tear out.
2) The time it takes for you to line up, drill, and tap the holes is greater than the time it takes to swap rails.
3) the 96-00 Civic rails mount the 96-00 Seats much higher than stock. As a person who is 6'1" I had to bend my head over to sit comfortably in a normal, upright postion. Maybe if you drive like a thug-wannabe with your seat all the way back it wont matter.
If you had read above, he said his EG seats were twisted and un-usable. The 96-00 seats are a better replacement IMO and when compared to a REAL racing seat, even the integra seats suck.

I had 00 Si Seats in my EG at one point. Only 3 bolts line up I believe unless you swap rails as well...and they aren't that comfertable. As much as I dislike the 92-95 Civic Seat Headrests, they actually are more comfy to sit in. They hold you in better.
This kid I know gave me $200 plus mint condition stock eg seats for my 00 si seats. I made out pretty good

i dunno man... the seats may be the same.. but the headrest is definitely different.. si's has a hole in it, the rest do not... also, they're shaped differently. i know cuz i have the si seats them in my car.
to the OP.. the seats suck. i'd just save that 50 dollars and use them on a pair of del sol seats or something...

NO dont drill into the floor!!!!!!!!!!!
I said drill into the rail!!!
Making one hole bigger takes like a minute compared to swapping.
You just get a bigger drill bite than the hole that wont hold the bolt and drill it and all set cause then it will fit in or just swap rails w.e. This worked for me but then again no point in swapping horrible si seats.

Vero said it best. Swap the rails, itll take about 40 minutes, I've done it a couple times and can do it in 15, maybe 20 and I'm not exagerrating(sp?). It's really easy. 50 bucks, theyre mint, and are in better shape than your stock seats? go for it. So what if the bolster sucks? its not any worse than the stock seats you've got anyway, and for 50 bones who gives a ****? I'm sure you wont be dissapointed, and if you are, take em back out, and sell them for a profit. You win either way.

i say no bro...i've got a EJ8 and my seats are pretty close to si seats other than the head rest...they both suck...get the integra seats...leather or not...there more bucket...i'd say the eg seats sit alot better than the EJ8 seats but not as confortable...

exactly.
He said before he didnt have access to a junk yard or big selection. These people act like the seats are terrible. They arn't any worse IMO than the stockers in the EG.
I suggest you plunk your butt into the seat and decide for yourself. If you are comfy in them, swap it. Otherwise, dont.

The problem here is that they sit higher. The original poster is trying to achieve the exact opposite, so they aren't really a good option for him.

Which is remedied by swapping the rails form his 92-95 civic.
I have the same problem and fixed it using this method. I got ITR recaros for my 96 coupe... my hatchback seats were ****... so I put the stock 96 seats into my hatch. I'm a tall guy (not as tall as the OP stated) and this was my solution.

i clearly showed with those pics that SI and EJ8 seats are the same thing with different headrests, and they will sit higher than EG seats, exactly the opposite of what he's trying to achieve, it's not worth it

(same seats but LEATHER)
