HA HA HA HA that is the worse thing you could ever do. You are going to kill your car doing that crap. You should not go bigger than a, IMO, 15". If this is a stock HF you are going to hate yourself. You will have all kinds of issues and it will not help your axle poping out. This is the worst idea I have seen.

Not to mention your car will be even slower than hell. Go ahead and do it, your handling, acceleration and road noise will suffer, but if it's worth it to you then . And yes, they will rub your fender wells.

As far as the axle popping out, could be the wrong axle or when it was installed it wasn't pushed in far enough so the ring at the end didn't expand into the fitting, thus not keeping it in the case.

16"s should be the limit for our cars. 17"s just look goofy as hell and I can't imagine how ugly an EF would look with huge *** 18"s on 'em
