i had the same problem with my B&M shifter so i took it apart and it ended up being the cable arm rubbing on the shifter housing (box), but as i remember the BC SS doesnt have a cable arm so it might be completely sumthing else.

take note that the Comptech SS is only an adapter. the BC SS is a full shifter assembly. Why not try the Revo SS?

i jus made my own short shifter i didnt bother buying one. i cut the bracket at the bottom off and raised it a half inch or so and for the hell of it i cut a half inch out of the top and re-welded it and welded the bracket up on the bend but before i welded the bracket i drilled a hole in the bend of the bracket so once i welded the bracket i filled the hole full of weld so i know the bracket wont break off if anyone wants any pictures ill be more than willing to post them

There's no Buddy Club short shifter made for a 5-speed; they're originally for the 6-speed CTR.

By the way... we're talking about the kit for the EP3, right?
