My father and brother were going to spokane to get a tranny for his 91 std. The wrecking yard in spokane didn't have what they needed so they were looking around and found some parts for my recently purchased crx si. They knew i needed a rear bumper so they found one and brought it back for me. In all they paid 20 dollars for it. when they got back to my house with it i almost passed out. It is a jdm sir crx rear bumper!!!!!!!!!! they paid 20 dollars for it! I am assuming it is an sir bumper because it has a rear lip. So if i'm wrong then tell me. But good find none the less. it also has a wider license plate area!

If you aren't coming back over to Eastern Washington, I would love to take a look at your possible find. Do you have the name of the wrecking yard?

I've got some friends over there, this could be interesting.

 

they had some stuff but, we heard a rumor from friend that this place sold stuff for set prices. Like all tranny's are 50 dollars at this place, no matter what tranny it is.

if they had a 'real deal siR' rear bumper, where is the rest of the car? you sure you didnt just get a us rear bumper?

 

im not really sure? did the US have any rear bumpers with a lip? also what about the larger license plate area? this feed back is useful so dont get me wrong?

 

man the junkyard i go to where i live has atleast 10-15 crx's of all years (mostly 88-91) but they wanted 120 for each bumber, 65 for each side mirrors, 110 for each fender... i said a few nasty words, the finger, and made sure they heard ebay and the internet wouyld cause them to loseo ut on 500 i was willing to spend on a lot of parts...jerks.

If it has a wider license plate area it means it must be an European model. Japan uses the same size plate as the US does. I have only seen wider license areas on cars from the UK and Germany for example.

 

All 90-91 Si rear bumpers have a "lip". You don't have an SiR bumper, but it's still sweet as hell. The only difference is the SiR bumper has side red reflectors. They don't look half as good as the US bumper in my opinion.

You guys are lucky. There aren't any CRXs at any of the junk yards around here. They also have very few Hondas and the ones they do have are so stripped down that there is nothing of value on them.

Our junkyards suck ***.

I did find three good turbos last time I went though.

 

junkyards were iam at arent very good either. we have 3 junkyards but only one has hondas.

 

junkyard here where im at only has 3 crx's, literally nothing left in any of them but the dash's and shells.... freakin sucks. oh well.

exactly..... thats why i am skeptical until i see the pictures.
