right hand conersion?
how hard would it be to do a right hand driver conversion? lol been thinking about it. but i can't find parts to do so and what the hell would i do for interior? thanx guys
its not too tough to do it there are alot of compaies over here in cali that will do it its a lil expensive like 2g's but it will look good all you have to do is find an online parts dealer try jdmhondaparts.com i dont know if they will have it but maybe and if they dont try http://www.venus-auto.com/ they have pretty good prices and will maybe have the parts you need if they dont have it though they should be able to tell you where you can buy what you need but there is alot of work if you dont know what you are doing and jut go out in your garage and take a shot at it but i hope that helps you out there man good luck with the conversion lots of cali peeps do that and they are pretty sick
thanx for ur help guys. i know i can do it but i need to find someone that can supply me with the interior parts. if u guys have any good idea's lemme know thanx again
Half of a jdm car isn't any more smog legal than a whole jdm car.
Besides, all the vin identifications are on the front half of the car anyhow.
You may not actually have to do the conversion if you manage to convince the right people that you already did the conversion.
Get it? Here's a hint if you didn't, you'll need to own the title of a similar car in addition to the jdm car...i.e. if you wanted to bring a crx sir over, you'd need a junked usdm crx as well. Just make sure that the junked crx never again sees the light of day.
If this is too cryptic...just PM me and i'll spell it out for you.

Is this going to be for show, or are you near a track that has all left hand turns?
I think it would be quite a hastle to do the conversion..besides the money your car would be down for a heck of a long time. It seems that you would be better off buying a japanese sir, and swapping your stuff to that. Ive never seen it done, or heard of it...but it seems like a ton of work.

if its gona be your daily driver you better have some good friends at the mva or have some good hookups cuz making sure its registered or it has the right vin # on the dash is gona be a pain probably more of a pain than converting the car.
Yes, you can import a car. Customs just makes it a pain.
There are plenty of JDM cars rolling around.

There are lots of companies who are licensed exports of japanese cars. They arrive OK, you pay fees....you just can't register the car to drive on the streets.
We're on the coast here in CA, (we're right by the docks...)and a lot of the local import-carpart shops have JDM cars in discreet wherehouses or parked out in front. (One shop I visited had 3 jdm itr's parked in a storage unit) The shop owner was nice enough to explain how most cars are registered.
Yes, they do exist...or maybe just here near the coast. Yes, they have them for sale. If you want a crx sir in california, you can find one, easily.
