so get ready to laugh! ive been patiently awaiting my ksport kontrol pros like a 5 year old waiting for xmas morning and after they didnt come for a week a became completely miserable...anyway, they came last night. i wanted to put them on but i promised some friends we'd ditch the wifeys and go out to the bar.
alright so today i installed the coilovers and the camber kit. skunk2's so funny, they tightened the drivers side so I ASSUMED they did the same for the passenger side. im riding down the street pushing it a little cause i really like the way coilvers hold and suddenly i feel the car straying from the road. im like **** but we just laughed it off(my brother was riding shotgun). i put air in my tire thinking thats what it was because my car was ill aligned(tire pressure) and got back on the road only to find that if i did better than 30mph the car passenger front tire would start vibrating horribly. drove home,5min@30mph(sounds like my track time!) and take the thing apart only to find the stupid camber pins werent locked, luckily i didnt lose any! BE AWARE and NEVER ASSUME...you might die!

 

BTW, i'll probably write up a DIY/Review for the Ksport Kontrol Pros tomorrow if anyones interested but im gonna go ride for a bit!

I got some on my 98 integra GS.

they ride TONS better than the civic ek i test drove with koni/gcs. they were just too dammed jiggly at low speeds. it was unsettling.

 

i absolutely love these things! going around those weird traffic circles is a breeze now i just fly right on through like its nothing at all...the camber kit also helps a lot!

 

Did you get an alignment after yu installed the camber kit? If not your toe settings ar probably really fucked up.

 

You should also check the nuts on the top of the shocks above the tophats, and the coilover locking rings. Check ALL of them, then get an alignment ASAP, because everything is probably screwed up pretty bad.

 

the cars fine, it was just funny and i wanted to share and let people know they shouldnt assume as i did that although it may appear to be pretightened form the factory they may in fact not be!
