u say its even easier than the z6 and u are a god on this site its just im a noob and dont have any hands on experience because im only 16 but do u think it will still be easy? the hardest thing i have done on a car was install all my bolt ons on my car. and the 02sensors gave me a bitch of a time. but if its as straight forward as that then nvm. thanks bense. what bout y8 TB cable im guessing that it will be longer or differ cable than the y7 TB? thanks for the help everyone.

best bet is just to go out and get your hands dirty

you should be good to go. your fuel rail will swap over to the intake manifold. Is your y8 intake manifold from a Auto trans or a manual trans?

i dont own one yet but i heard that the y8 auto trans is a bit easier to swap over with the y7 manual. is this true?? ive been waiting to buy a y8 IM cause i had problems on egay with this guy that i ordered a obd2a to obd1 conversion harness and he never said anything and i had already paid for it. i was like wtf and it came in today so now im going for a y8 IM with in the next week it should be ordered.

like bense said, its best just to start doing it...when i did it, at first i was lik WTF, im never getting this done. and then i just started to look at it logically and its basically just matching up hoses and plugs. just make sure you pay attention to where everything is before you take it all off. maybe take a few pictures.
