Default Weird Squeaking noise

car is a 96 exr, 5 speed.

when i'm driving, i constantly hear a weird squeaking noise, regardless of a bumpy road or not.

Also, when i turn the wheel, i hear the same weird squeaking noise, it kind of sounds like my tire is rubbing, but i'm sure its not.

those noise comes from my front passenger tire area

any help?

you might want to check your wheel bearings

I have the same problem on my 95 accord, same spot too. My music is usually too loud for me to hear it though. I think its my bearings.

or bearings in tranny. Get new wheel bearings first, and then go from there if the problem persists.

no, it does not get louder with speed

sometiems when i'm comig up my driveway and i roll the tire upto the part where teh curb and driveway meet and jsut turn the wheel, it heard it.

if it is bearings.....is it recommended to do just that one? gonna search for a DIY, but roughly how long for a shop to change them?

if it's wheel bearing, you most likely wont be able to change it yourself...and it's not recommended for you to do it on your own with simple tools...the shops usually takes about 1-2 hours to change 1 bearing.

I'm wondering if devilpuppy solved the problem with his car because i have the same problem and i've tried replacing the upper control arm as a shop recommended and the noise went away for only a month and i'm going nuts. i've had this noise off and on for past 5 years, but only now has it been persistent. anyone that has first hand experience please help. thank you

you know what, i'm having the same problem.. this noise is driven me nuts!!! can't find it since it doesn't appear in every speed bump, rough road that I gone though. I can hear it from exterior as well but not well enough to identify the source. can it be the brushing? sounds like some parts is rubbing each other and making this sound. dang
