Default Need some "TRANNY/TURBO" answers

I have a 89' CRX Si with a OBD 0 B16A VTEC motor S1 tranny, the gears on the tranny are really short. I'm planning to boost the REX and wanted to know what is the best cable tranny that has the longest gears. I know there's a cable to hydro converstion kit for the tranny but I still want to stay with the cable. My TURBO question is what is a good turbo size for me setup? I want a reliable daily driver.

Ok first of all I'm going to ask you are you sure you really want longer gears if so why?

I'm not being a jerk but I'm just making sure you dont buy into a old wives tail.

The turbine it self sizing won't make or break if its reliabe, but other then dailying what to you want out of the car? Are you tearing the block apart bolt on only? How much power do you want, where do you want it ?

Shorter gears / high final drive = quicker acceleration = better 1/4 mile times.

Longer gears / lower final drive = slower acceleration = worse 1/4 mile times.

/ thread. Long gears for boost is retarted.

There is a reason or 2 you might want longer gears though but 99.5% time yes.

one of the semi locals and I friendly tease about it.
