Default Cold weather riding suit?

As I am going to be riding to and from work every day unless there is a good amount of white on the streets, what options do I have? Is there a jumpsuit type deal that is more insulation than protection - that I could throw on over my regular gear?

Do you really want a jumpsuit type thing? I mean they make them but they're probably more than you need in this area.

I'd recommend just getting a pair of overpants and wearing something hearty under your jacket. I probably have a bit more "natural insulation" than you do but I've worn my FirstGear overpants (with liner) over jeans down to 35° without getting cold.

There's always the old Aerostich if you've got eight or nine hundred bucks burning a hole in your pocket.

Personally, I just layer and complain.

I tried a textile 2piece suit, but it was kinda cumbersome. I wear windbreaker jacket and pants over my regular gear. It does the trick well in inclemental weather.

Snowboarding gear over or under your bike gear?

Some tracks will let you in with an Aerostich.

Over...snowboarding gear is pretty bulky. I already look like the Stay Puft Marshmallow man without any help.

It's 10° colder than it is right now. Really too cold to ride but that's the price we pay for snow. Yay winter!

P.S. - Why the hell are you awake!?

Currently, I'm working from 6a-2p. My new job has rotating shifts, so in a few weeks I'll be 2-10p, then again from 10p-6a, and then back to 6a-2p. Loverrrrleeee.

I use my Aerostich in wet and cool weather. I wear it over a full set of clothing and it's pretty hardy.

if your a little cash challenged and need some protection, use your old insulated Ski bibs... they work perfectly and are usually much cheaper than motorcycle specific gear.
