Basically, a CAI is generally going to give you more gains than a short ram. Obviously CAI's pose more of a danger to your motor in terms of sucking in water.

Someone in the All Motor forum actually did a dyno test with the PasswordJDM "whale *****" CF intake and the AEM 3" CAI for an ITR motor. The AEM CAI gave the most gains.
