Which 28" slicks are you guys using?
There also is a compound for manual trans and a softer compound for automatics. Shawn Sparks of MT was very insistent in talking me out of the asofter ones for my manual trans fwd car. Probably afraid of no slippage leading to tire shake and breakage, but thats my decision lol.
The normal MT 3055 tire seems to be what all the cool kids are running. I've got a couple of 1.341 60' times and I still don't have a handle on them yet.
I also had a set of 3055CL tires, which were the soft compound, light sidewall tire they stopped making. Either tire will shake if you hit it too hard, but those definitely shook much easier than the regular 3055's did. They also didn't seem to hook anywhere near as well.
