Si distributor on a 89 dx.
As the topic says can you put a si distributor on a dx? I want to put it on my dx because i think my distributor or coil is going bad and i have a si distributor. So if they are interchangeable i wouldnt have to buy a new distributor. Any info would help thanks.

I don't think anyone has ever proven it won't work..
The distributors are basically the same but the Si distributor
has an extra sensor for firing the injectors...
So,If you were to hook it in place of the DX distributor
using the five of the seven wires in the proper configuration,
I can't see any reason why it should not work..
Give it a shot..
