My buddy was driving his Civic home from work -
He noticed some squeaky belt sounds then the car stopped running..
Looked under the hood and touched the cam gear and noticed it snapped completey off the cam ....

Is this normal ?
Why would that happen ?

If we pull the Valve cover off will we be able to tell if the valves are bent ?
