88 suspension on 91 crx?
just as the topic states. will stock 88 crx suspension fit on a 91 crx? i have inspection soon and dont think my suspension is going to pass on my 91 daily, my 88 is a parts car. plan on getting them off the 88 tonight, but if i know it wont swap then i wont waste my time.

Use the 88 rear LCAs and you can swap the rears on your 91.

um the LCAs? dont know what they are... how hard is it going to be to do that? i would much rather use what i have then go out and buy new, eventually i will buy new aftermarket, but i dont have the money right now

alright, well you make it sound easy, now you just have to explain to me what the LCA's are, is this just on the rear or the front as well?
LCAs are your Lower Control Arms. They are mounted to a fixed point on the chassis and the strut tower mounts to the Lower Control Arm at the bottom of the strut.

no they wont fit. the threaded holes are not there.
yes, you can make them fit.
either drill from inside the hatch area and bolt it that way.
or do this.

to do that did you just use nuts and bolts in the pre-existing wholes? no special mount? can you get to the other side of the hole from under the carpet in the trunk?
ah, youre the one that said it. i remember you mentioning this now.
yeah, if you take off the rear bumper, youll see the channel in the frame. you have like 2 or 3 feet to go and fish it through. i imagine you first send something through from the hole, out, then tie a bolt to the end and pull it back in place.
if this works, its a nifty way of getting it done. i would use some lock washer on teh bolt too, before sending it in.

so what your saying is that i can fish a bolt through a pipe, that i can get to by taking off the rear bumper... sounds tricky... but i may try. how do you thread the bolt on then though, since you cant prevent the bolt from spinning with the nut?

They are washers that look cut and bent slightly. They keep the nut from jossling loose.
well i think i know what they are, im just not fully sure, im going to have to see if i can put the sway bar on using this method this weekend
