removing the stereo on a 2000 civic
i need to find my serial # of my stereo so i can find out the code
which i lost along w/ my manual
i was wondering if it was hard to remove the stock stereo ?
do i even need the serial # ?
can a dealership look it up w/ just a vin# ?
if not, how would i go about removing the stock stereo?
is it something difficult to do?
for any help

i had the same problem, took it to the honda dealer and they did it for free. it really depends on if they can find this code on your car...i believe its located in different places on different cars...if they dont find it then they'll charge you...as for taking out the stereo...if its your first time...ahah man its a bitch...pushing out the whole climate control isn't hard at all...once you get that bottom plasitc piece off below the climate control and unbolt the bolts push the climate control from the inside out...that helps alot...dont just try to pry it out from the outside...
