if you have stock exhaust, you will need more than a fancy muffler to get much performance. I would start with a header because the stock b20b exhaust manifolds are the worst. next, do a hi-flow cat and cat-back exhaust and you'll be golden... 2.25 or 2.5 diameter pipe is all you will need unless you plan to go turbo...

Hooker is known for their exhuast components. I would say its probably a little more than just a "fancy" muffler.

hey, now... I'm not mocking the muffler, just the idea that a muffler is the solution.

how is your backpressure getting worse? youre running a stock b20 engine in an ek....whats the problem? obviously the engine was made to run with the components you have on it without problems.....i dont see how you can feel it getting worse when it shouldnt have been there in the first place

sounds like you are ready for a whole exhaust system. My suggestion is to spend as little as possible for now (cheap turbo style muffler) and save up to get the nice setup that you really want.
