Throttle Body???
Professional Products sells very nice, affordable replacement throttle bodies for type-r's in 68mm & 70mm. They look stock 7 have a very nice build quality. There was a thread reviewing them not too long ago. I bought one, but don't have my head back together yet, others who've tried them have had good luck with them. Mine cost $160 for a TB that is 68mm at the butterfly (tapers out to 70mm opening).
There is no "best" throttle body, just the one that works best for your engine mods, your desired powerband location and your peak whp goal. Develop a plan for your car, an "end game" when you will consider it done, don't lego build your engine.

butt dyno told me my spoon tb install was a nice power adder (albeit small) on a completely stock ITR (stock intake with K&N drop in, stock header, stock exhaust, etc...).

There's my Spoon Sports TB. It's simply the best throttle body ever made. I wouldn't spend over $250 on it though, just pray for someone to sell it on eBay. I got mine for only $150 shipped!
