Default ALRIGHT! the way autolock is suppose to fit in the type S...

Alright, well this is what it looks like once installed and NO it will not hold off a theif from jackin ur car. At max it will hold them off for about 15-20 min. before ur car is gone haha. I do it just b/c it makes me feel a little safer sleepin at night...aside from that it's not that worth it. GOOD LUCK....

Oh, and i wouldn't put it on the brake b/c theifs can easily use the e-brake if they r good at driving. Anyways, there it is....

if you have full coverage... there is nothing to worry about.. Your deductible will be the same if they break into the car or just flat out steal it. I had the autolock and an alarm/ kill switch on my CRX bc I only had liability. If you have a new car, I wouldnt even trip. Thats that my opinion tho.

You'd be surprised how effective it really is... I've known a few thiefs and they all say they turn away from a car without doing a single thing when they see the autolock installed. Its not that they can't break through it, its just that there are so many more cars out there WITHOUT the autolock that they'd rather not go through the hazzle and just find another car.

is there even a way to steal newer cars without the key? the only possible option i would imagine would be to tow the car.

The Autolock can easily be defeated with just your bare hands. This site provides insight into how this can be done...

Tow truck is one of the efficient methods that they use nowadays. It takes them who knows how many minutes, better yet seconds for them to scoop up your car and bam their off. DAmn them theives! I'm sure the autolock would work somewhat, but not deter a theif with a tow truck though....

Just thought I'd throw in a little neat feature that my friend told me about Mercedes also have an Anti-tow feature built into their cars. With just a press of a button it locks all 4-wheels. Plus you have to remember that these Mercedes are heavy! haha...cool feature aint it?
