Default bad power steering pump?

when i turn my wheel on my civ it makes a squeeking/ whining/ high pitched groaning sound. it does it about 60 percent of the time, or at least thats how much i notice it. could it be my power steering pump, or someting in the suspension?

The sqeeking sound your describing could be a loose p/s belt , it would also give you tight steering b/c it rides on the p/s pump, the other noise sounds like low p/s fluid. or
a bad p/s pump. check for low fluid in the pump. if below lower line you have a leak.
first common thing to check is the rack & pinion for leaks, also could be hose<not so common>. or the pump. *if the fluid is full and the belt is tight change the p/s pump*

fulltime steering/suspension/wheel alignment tech 10yrs. shop exp'd.

also keep in mind all hondas take only special p/steering fluid.
