I took the gas/fuel pump cover off to replace some old rusted lines, and there is one i cant figure out where its supposed to be connected to....

On top of the round fuel pump holder/cover, there is a steel line that comes out from the top, i'm guessing its a vent, but what does it go to? another line or somewhere in the engine bay?

heres a pic of what i'm talking about....thanks in advance....a pic of where it needs to go would help out immensly...

olooks liek fuel return line to me.

 

This is a pic of an LS pump I have lying around. I don't see any extra vents on it, just the feed and return lines.

 

The "bolt on" one is the feed. The clamp on one, is the return. It goes from the fuel pump, to the regulator.

 

ahh ok then, the 94 LS one that i have the pic of has one that a banjo bolt bolts to, and the return line which clamps like u guys said....

except my return line snapped off from rust, so I guess I need a whole different cover thats in better shape. anybody got one for sale?

 

Mine is from a 98 LS if you can make it work.

 

naw it won't the one i have has a banjo bolt on it.
