finally had my first spill. ghey
So yea went down today, retarded. I was crossing an intersection, saw my friend gave him a short wave and then the oncoming car decided to turn so I jammed on the brakes, locked up the wheels and went down. Jeans are worthless for protection btw. I could have been worse, but my knee is all scraped. wonderful.
as for the bike
It wouldn't start immediately so my friend came over and helped me roll it and lift it onto the sidewalk. Also it wouldnt go into neutral so I had to hold down the clutch. that sucked. So then I called a tow truck and he towed me home for 78 bucks
.
Then when I got home the bike started, that was funny. Just some fairing damages, and the foot pedal is a little bent. If you guys remember my bike when down in a tornado last april and it went down on the same side so at least the damage is consistent.
My season is over, it's going into storage this week, I'll fix it after winterbreak cuz i need to save for a Colorado trip.
Seperate question:
Any storage advice, minus climate controlled and rolling the wheels onto wood?

Rolling the wheels onto wood? Do you have F/R stands?

Sorry to hear about the spill. Sucks to end the riding-season that way.
I think falcon had an ingeneous poor-man's rear stand for his ZX7 back in the day.
I don't see how putting your bike on wood would (hah!) be different from leaving it on concrete.

About the wood thing. Maybe your thinking about a gas can? Your not supposed to leave a gas can on the concrete floor, it helps promote condensation buildup faster. Putting it above the floor (on wood) helps prevent that. Water in gas = bad

glad you are all right, most bikes if not all won't start after a spill. its made to cut the fuel so there is no fire
