Default NEED HELP AFTER SEAFOAM!!!

Well, After adding seafoam threw the brake booster hose (2 lid fulls) the car now has a light valve tap along with oil light on at low rpm's. Another thing my tranny feels like its grinding and it has never felt that way befor along with the car never wanting to go into vtec. Any help at all would be great. motor is a b16

how does your oil level look? carbon may have been stopping you from consuming oil, and now you are?

WOW, 2 lids full and you got all these problems? I used a whole can and only had good results; especially a smoother idle...

Seafoam doesn't hurt....been proven over and over.

The thing in your picture with the clip is the EGR valve

After you do the whole seafoam thing, (most in motor, some in gas) then you drive around till the smoke is gone, THEN CHANGE OIL as the seafoam will thin it the hell out.

refill your gas tank.

reconnect the vacuum line you found.

Did you change the oil after you used the seafoam?

Did you pour seafoam into your tranny?

IF not, seafoam would not have anything to do with it acting wierd.

Did you change your oil after seafoam? Did you fill it up all the way? Most of your oil probbly came out that vacuum line

I've never had a problem after a Seafoam treatment. That is odd. I typically change my plugs following a treatment. I use 1/2-2/3's a can through the BB.

so hmm that means you need to change it and get back to us, i bet that it thineed your oil out like hell and now you have a slight tap because there is no oil cushion just more like water cushion. so change the oil and come back and let us know

Change your oil and your sparkplugs. All four were just about fouled when I pulled them after 'foaming, and my oil was jet black ... and I had changed both less than 400 miles before the treatment.

Hmm... the guy didnt poor the seafoam into his oil so im pretty sure he doesnt need to change his oil. When pooring it into the brake booster line all you have to do is wait like 5 mins after shutting the car off and restart it. Eventually the smoke will go away. Correct me if im wrong.

seafoam also tends to break up the carbon deposits on the valves..that ticking might be because of it..

Well when you suck it up with the booster line it goes into your valve cover from there it goes down to your pistons. From there the carbon and non burnt seafoam falls into the oil pan. So no he didnt put it into his crank but it runs into the oil pan.

All I can say is wow, people don't know anything about their cars, brake booster leads to the engine eventually, if the car didn't have the lights before then it's probably due to the fact that you HAVEN'T CHANGED THE OIL YET, and the tranny shares no liquids with the engine. Don't get cold feet half way through a job on your car, there is a lot of trial and error, just figure it out, it helps you learn about how everything works.

I can imagine it was a hell of a day.. Sometimes when it rains it pours.. Fix one thing and then another breaks.
