what year Accord?

most likely though behind the kick panel on the passenger side, where the feet would rest just in front of the firewall. I hope that made sence, could think of a better way to describe it.

:edit:
well, just to make sure, here is a picture of the location incase I didn't describe it good enough.

actually, the 'paper-clip' trick is done through the data connector, found above the hood release under the dash. Though again, that might depend on the model. You'll have to find out what pins to short also. I believe it's 8 and 13, but don't hold me to that. It's also a free scan at your local auto parts store.

By shorting two specific pins in the OBD Data connector, the CEL will flash a series of long and short pulses to make a two digit number, which can be referenced to lookup the exact CEL code.

the connector is on the pass side kickpanel. blue plug, two pin. should be in the same location as the civic, OBD1.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by AFAccord &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">actually, the 'paper-clip' trick is done through the data connector,</TD></TR></TABLE>

oops... I didn't fully read the question. I only read the "where is the ECU" and didn't even realize the second part of the question.
