we put a new clutch in and it makes a weird noise when i step on the clutch pedal all the way down. sounds like a grinding noise. car drives great. any help will be apreciated. its a obd1 ls motor.

clutch, pressure plate, pilot bearing, throw out bearing, fluids are new. torqued to spec, everything

Cable or hydro? What clutch did you use?

 

hydro. about the clutch, i got it with no name on it. not sure of which clutch it is.

 

first thing i'm wondering is the piolet bearing myself.

 

when we replaced it, it was in pretty deep, seems like to the max. also lubed.

Does it sound like its tranny grinding or clutch grinding or can you not tell?

Is it from just pushing clutch in or is it from trying to grab a gear?

 

it soundslike the clutch. it only makes a noise when i push the clutch pedal in. when it grabs gear it seems fine.
