Couple options: Looking for insight, NA LS nonvtec
Hey guys, I'm not even sure what I'm gonna do with my car but I'm thinkin about a couple things all motor wise.
I currently have a 93 dx hatch w/a rebuilt ls w/pr3s (11.4:1 cr), gsr tranny, cm stg 4 clutch, aem 1g cai, megan header, port-matched ls im, etc.
I'm trying to figure what'd be better. And the bottom end is all oem Honda, so yeah bearings, rod bolts, etc.
Which cams do you think match my compression the best? 404s?
Would it be worth it to raise it a little more (omni valves, mugen/spoon hg) and run something big? Could this maybe handle 405as?
Or just match to my current cr cause I can't rev all that high stock bottom?
Yes I plan on crower valvetrain.
Any additional advice is appreciated also, like recommendations. Thanks guys.

404's would be nice with that set up
How did you get 11.4/1 compression with PR3's, did you mill the head or block? Reason I ask is because I am going to use PR3's, and I think that will yeild 10.8/1 in my B18A.
Are you running the engine now with the PR3's and stock cams?

11.4:1 is what zealautowerks calculator tells me.
I'm running 403s, but not really, cause I'm not really driving the car, cause the previous owner put in h22 springs, and I can't set the lash right w/out them binding.

i got some p30's with some 404's and the shop the street tuned them was very suprized at how much power there making it still feels like its pulling when i shift at 7800rpm. good cams but need a high cr to make some real numbers. i'm happy with my setup except the shop could get them to idle right. so now im looking at an lsvtec. na non-vtec is fun but go lsvtec and make some power!
i got a b18b with p30's and 404's just waiting for it to go in but rode in a similair setup and 404' are perfect for the street

Hey guys, thanks a lot for the insight, that definately helps. So looks like if I stick na nonvtec, 404s it is! Is there a particular recommendation on a header for a nonvtec motor? Perhaps something that makes good power on a lower rpm scale (<8k)? Or just pretty much look at the popular ones?
