Default buddy club spec III

i heard that these are pretty decnt cams and upgrade over stock but on some web

sites it doesnt say anything about upgrading the valve spings and retainers. so for

the buddy club spec III is it requiered to have upgraded valve train or would my

stock jdm b16a be ok with just bolting on these cams?

I have these cams. I would suggest upgrading the valve train at least to type r spec. These are a bit higher lift than the type r cams. I upgraded to omni power springs and retainers.

yeah for that price pick them up becuase they make good amount of usable power through out the rpm range and have stock idle characteristics. and u can use them on stock or upgraded vavle train

That's a good price for decent cams. If you do a little bit of searching, you can find some dyno graphs of them.

If you're going to try and rev to 9500, then GET THE VALVETRAIN!

is the $300-400 you save from not buying valvetrain going to be worth it if you blow your engine?

if you guys are goin to use those cams and rev up pass 9k you might to upgrade bottomend to arp rod bolts on ur stock rods. if you are using stock rods with stock rod bolt you might damage your motor.

Put it on a dyno and find out.

Guaruntee huh? Hope you wouldnt put money on it, because id be taking it right now. Plenty of people have gone over 10k on Ti ret.

And just a thought to leave you all with, is the only reason to upgrade your valvetrain improved reliability?
