well, if Justin leaves it really want hurt the modified class, but Scranton leaving will hurt PRO RWD. Congrats to them if its true. I think NHRA/NOPI, BOTI, IDRC need to look hard at why are our top guys leaving a find a way to retain them or a way for other guys to step up from the brackets>sportsman>pro ranks!
I think every import driver would leave to drive pro stock in a factory backed team, given the opportunity!
the real question is where are the racers to fill the spots that these drivers are creating? in the last 2 years, how many new teams have there been in hot rod / modified / pro fwd / pro rwd? I'm talking brand new teams, not just drivers jumping into existing cars... very few. most drivers aren't really 'graduating' from one class to another, you're really just losing cars / drivers to non-sport compact racing.
Dee is relatively new, so is J-hump, eggum is kinda new, but other than that, it's the same people / teams who were racing 5 years ago, just in different cars.

who is building dee's 6? Steen?
makes sense if you think about it, he can drop 500lbs going from a 3 rotor to a 4 cylinder
thought the 6 deal was pretty well known already, i just want to know who is doing the car
modified should be even more intense next year with lazcano supposedly running a full schedule, brent rau supposedly modifying the eclipse to be nhra legal, cesar febus is rumored to be running a full schedule next year, looks like both scheepers and topletz are close to running numbers with efantis and the puerto rican cars
thats cool for jhump if he is getting a pro stock deal, do you know if its nhra or ihra?
assuming ihra if its for steve schmidt
is he jumping into a new mustang body? It seems IHRA is trying to figure out a way not to let toyota bodies run next year.

Tito Chassis out of Fl is doing Dee's car. Same guy that built Scheepers car and our chassis.
I spoke to Cesar and yes he is going to run a full 2007 NHRA Schedule as are we.

I talked to Justin. They are running prostock next year as well as a few NHRA sport compact events. They aren't racing for Steve Schmidt. But are running his motors. They are running their own team, with a Rick Jones built GTO. Best of luck.
Dee's New car is a 2007 MazdaSpeed 3, new to the Mazda production line for 2007 and yes he will have help from MazdaSpeed.
