I pretty recently bought my s2000 and my funds arent too high to make extreme performance upgrades, what are some inexpensive mods? I see fake spoon intakes on ebay anyone out there with one? need some feedback?

LOL!!
And as everyone else has said, you can't go cheap on the S2K. You don't buy a sports car and think "what cheap parts can I buy". If you want to think that... refer to the quote above....

but paying for track days can put a significant dent in the wallet as well
but it's worth it

yeah that would be all my money if i bought an exhaust but im looking for smaller things that would give me alittle more power im thinking going kevlar under the hood with a spoon intake, kevlar radiator shroud, and spoon spark cover
headers, exhaust, and intake will barely net you any horsepower. if you want to feel a noticeable difference, goto http://www.hardtopguy.com and order the 4.77 final drive gear kit. it'll cost you around $1400 from him (after returning your diff) and if you cant install it yourself expect another $150-300 or so for someone else to swap the diffs. an s2k with 4.77's will keep up with a supercharged s2k til about 3rd gear then it will start to drop off.
bang for the buck, the gears cant be beat. your rpms will be raised ~600-700 RPM in each gear.
