Aftermarket steering wheel.......will the passenger air bag still work?
I want to use the sparco 383 steering wheel but the only way I will swap out the wheels is if the passenger air bag will still deploy in an accident. Does anyone know If the swap will work? Thanks! Joe.

ROFL are you sure about that? ... funny cuz i experienced it ... i have splash short hub/signal quick release/ and spoon steering wheel ... and when i got into an accident, the passenger airbag still deploy

I know about the srs light, but your statement below can be read that the resistor will only get rid of the srs light and not enable the full function of the passenger airbag. That's why I asked you if you tested out the deployment of the passenger airbag when running an aftermarket steering wheel.

Not sure about the s2000's, but with my DC5 the Acura dealer told me that all airbags are disabled if the SRS lights come on. When i asked about the resistor trick, the tech told me that in theory it should work, but that he wasn't 100%... Personally i think the resistor trick would work because you're completing the circuit and fooling the SRS system into thinking everything is cool. So it should still fire the other airbags correctly..

that's how I understand the system as well but I don't think anyone can verify that. I would only run airbags on a 3pt seat belt system/street driven car.

even if you dont put fuse/resistor the passenger side airbag would still work... the line is parallel, NOT series... the resistor trick only to get rid of the SRS light to complete the circuit ...
ask me how i know ...

STFU...
this was back in year 2000 when my airbag deploy on my 96 civic just by hitting a huge pothole... i had an aftermarket steering wheel ... i took out the "wire rotor" and didnt do the resistor trick and my passenger airbag still deploy...
now this year on my s2000, i had spoon steering wheel and did the resistor trick ... and my passenger airbag still deploy ...
you get the idea
