Default Got the power but it doesn't show

hey guys i got a question 1st my car made 601hp and 405lbs of torque on 26lbs the car weighs 2640 with me in it. I need more seat time and my slips show it, but my question is the car making the power that the dyno showed and with this trap? And what is the car capable of.

this pass was on 26lbs I think im running a dual stage bc and 1 is set on 14lbs and the other is set on 26lbs. i had the bc set on 26lbs while staging but i didn't look at the gage to see if it was actually 26lbs i was having elec issues and don't know if t was working.

i launched at 5200

60'...2.338
330...5.972
1/8....8.614
mph....97.01
1000....10.802
1/4.....12.601
mph...127.55

ps this was on 24.5 slicks with 10lbs of air and a 95 rev

I made 497 and trap at 130. Are you shifting slow? You could be loosing mph there. Are you building boost when you launch?

if ur going all out, and even though the 60' sucks, i'd say ur realictically in the 450whp range with that trap speed

he said dynapack so say 15% loss? 525WHP or so?

still off by 10-15

were the slips spinning? bog it out of the hole?

Did it seem like a clean pass?

Did you make more runs the one?

short shifting? What RPM did you make 600+? Are you shifting at that RPM?

the 60 may be bad but that thing isnt making more than i would say 475whp... the 1/8mile mph should be around 107-112 from my experince

That works for some people if your powerband is up top and holds or levels off. If you make max hp at 7300 and it drops off and you shift at 8800 that whole extra 1500 rpm is lost power. A lot comes down to part selection as well as power. I mean power is good but if you have a 42R turbo and have 1000 RPM usable power then it doesnt work out for you. If you make 601 whp and have no usable powerband that will also hurt your trap. You want to be in power as long as possible. Again some reasons will have you revving out of your band to say ride out wheel spin or to fall into your powerband in the next gear. I know what I am saying may not mean much to some but it matters in the overall picture as a builder and tuner.

I know my car with an ls with 500whp trapped 137-138 range on 24.5 slicks.

i agree. your making 400 to 450 i bet. sounds like the motor might be hurt. take it back to the dyno and see what it says. your mph is just not there.

Well there is no question that you cant drive. Your car will trap much much much higher with some competant driving, its not all about power.

I run @ the most 6.5lbs on my 24.5 and launch like at 7500, lower the presure, your 60' should be 1.8 or 1.9.
