I cant seem to find much info on interchangeable honda motors that would bolt up to a 1981 honda trans. My main questions is if there is a bigger maybe fuel injection motor built in the late 80s or 90s that would be better to build that I can bolt up to a 1981 honda manual trans? Or if there is nothing that will bolt up to that trans is there a better style cyl head I can put on that block? Are there any web sites that give engine and trans spec's for the early 80s honda's?

 

Or are there adaptor plates I can buy for a newer motor to bolt to that trans?

http://www.redpepperracing.com. They know their 1st gen rex and 3rd gen civic stuff.

 

Thanks that mite help. I think the interchange years go up to 1983.
