What kind of main bearings do you guys suggest for an h22, and where do you recommend i go to buy them?

The two most popular canditates are OEM and ACL. OEM can be purchased at slhondaparts.com ACL can be purchased at several online retailers. There are even some mods here that are ACL sellers, pm precisionh23 i think he sells em.

 

my builder used OEM bearings from Hondapartsdeals.com.

 

which bearings do i need for an h22a1 that goes in a 1994 prelude?

 

Is there a chart or something i can look at to determine which bearings i need for my engine?

lol i feel kinda stupid asking this, but my mains measure 1.970" which main bearings do i need? the chart link is ^ there

OEM is the only way to go, its a little more than acl's but its worth the peace of mind

 

lol i never knew getting mains was this hard... still don't have them. If anybody knows of a good sponsor who sells mains have them get ahold of me ASAP!!!!

I can provide you with all of your bearings but you need to measure your housing bore for the bearings. All bore's are not 'standard'

 

You can get Clevite77 and roll like a Nascar. haha. j/k get OEM or ACL.

 

pay the coin for the oem. ive saw to many cars on here with spun bearings cause they have ran acl's and other aftermarket bearings.. get the right ones from honda. they are made specifically for the tighter clearances

1.970 converts to roughly 50.038 mains...

must be a 92-96 h22a or h22a1, or a 97 h22a4

 

What about calico ?
