There is this tool that my grand pa was telling be about that threads into the spark plug hole and allows you hookup a compressed air hose to it. this in return pushes on the valves and prevents them from falling down into the combustion chamber.
Has anyone heard of this tool and do they know where i could get one?
If you havent heard about this do you know any way of changing the valve seals without taking off cylander head
thanks

You can use a leakdown tester, or even a compression tester hose that has an air fitting on the other end. The easier method though, is to pull your spark plug and weave some nylon chord down in the combustion chamber, then turn that cylinder to top dead center. The chord will push on the valves and keep them from falling.
Just use a compressor to remove your valve springs, then change out the seals.....then reassemble.

yeah, the hose from a compression tester would be ideal. you are going to need something to remove and reinstall the valve keepers also, if you havent thought of that already.
just out of curiosity, why do you need to change the stem seals? if they are leaking, the your guides are probably out of tolerance. pick up a snap guage and micrometer or a decent caliper and check the stem to guide clearances.

if i were to buy the compression tester are you sure that i would be able to hook up the air hose to it
Im think im leaning towards the second method since it invovles less money. Im just scared that the valves may still fall down.
