Vacuum leak or FITV.

He meant that it the motor surges between 300-500 rpms above idle.

Then definitely try checking for vacuum leaks, and if you have a FITV, clean that as well.

Fast idle thermo valve. According to my manual, it comes on CRV and Integra auto's. It must be available on more JDM setups, because my swap had one on it.

And just so you know, the FITV is bolted to the bottom of the TB (throttle body). What motor do you have anyway?

its on most cars, its what makes them idle higher when its cold out, to help the motor warm up faster

it will either be on the back of the intake manifold, or on the throttle body

i have a d15b block with a d16y8 head mini me setup with aem cam and adj. cam gear

now theres also another prob kinda hard to explain but i'll try my best ....

now when i'm driving down the road and i'm in any gear usually low in the gear it feels like the motor starts to pick up then it feels like it jus cuts out not all the way but most of it even tho i'm still pushing on the gas and then once it picks up a lil bit it will start to accel. as hard as i'm pushing it ....

my first thought was the lil flap stickin in the trottle body and then i also thought maybe it's not gettin enough fuel or to much air like maybe it's a sensor like when it's jus sitting and u look under the hood it sounds like it's suckin in a shitload of air

That's funny. My manual said that it only comes on the CRV's and Teg's, but I kinda had a feeling it wasn't correct. Of course it's a Haynes. I actaully like the Haynes, but don't think it is 100% accurate.
