Default No idea what to do??? CEL 43

43 Fuel supply system Ok i have CEL 43 being throwen out at me I have a B20B in a EK Hatch i just finished making the car run right no check engine nothing car runs great. Problems im having now is just back pressure from my exhaust since im still on a stock one would this be causing CEL 43. Other Issue is i keep Dis Connecting my Fuel Relay for Security Reasons. I think it got clamped (the wires) so i taped up the wires so none will touch the CEL left. for 3 hrs i was driving no prob then on my home the CEL comes out agen but no probs with the car. SO i pull over turn off the car and the CEL goes away???? WTF???????? u think it might be the O2 Sensor? the Back Pressure? the clamp on the wires? any idea if its the clamp ill seal all the wires up agen need suggestions. thanks!

Its just a soft code. My experience with modified engines is that the CEL usually comes on but its not a major issue if it goes away as soon as you shut off the car and start it again.

mine comes on sometimes also... does it come on when you let it idle for a minute or 2?? or when your driving it..

i have a big cam and mine comes on sometimes when i let it idle for too long cuz it runs hella rich at idle i think it throws the ecu off or something

Well now everyone knows, get a alarm.
So what ecu are you using? and what does the fuel pressure look like?

code 43 could be just about any part in the fuel system.
pump, regulator, injectors, fuel filter. 02 sensor.

I have this problem in my car. I am FIRMLY convinced there is no fix for it.

Comes on once in a blue moon....or sometimes twice within the minute....doesn't effect my driving in any way, shape, or form...and I have NO ******* idea what it is...

Don't worry about it, you'll save yourself the headache.

Wish I knew what was happening with mine though...and don't say "change your O2 sensor w/ a friend's" because it's so randomly I can drive it for a month and it won't turn on, but then it'll turn on maybe twice in the same day (until I just turn the car off, then turn it back on (just key flip while driving..stays stored by the light doesn't come back on)).

Weird assssss problem.

SOrry at OP, I'm startin to threadjack....but my point was simple, there's NO fix for this code Or at least I'm convinced there's not one - not for my problem anyway.

i agree it is not an easy fix. It drove me crazy for about 2 weeks.
Lucky for me I have a wideband and was able to datalog. I found that everytime i got the code the engine would run very lean. Not good for a b20. When I say lean I mean around 17-20. Like everyone else the code would clear when I turned the car off and back on again.
To the Op if you have the time to troubleshoot it, do it.
A guy who had this problem here on h-t a few weeks ago ended up running some fuel injector cleaner and that solved his problem.
This code can be caused by dirty injectors.
Good luck.
