Will an OBD1 work with pgmfi

Default Will an OBD1 work with pgmfi

My freind has a crx dx(pgmfi) and wanted to know if he could use an obd1 gsr wiring harness for his GSR swap, obviously he would use an obd1 ecu

im pretty sure it wont work but i just want to get a second opinion

use the dx harness, add the injectors and **** from the gsr, and use the vtec **** to make a subharness.

and see rywire for a conversion harness

you have to use your original wiring harness then take the plugs off the dizzy and the vtec crap you cannot use the gsr harness

did he convert to PGMFI? If not the DX is DPFI and he will have to convert to PGMFI. Then you can either make a subharness out of the GSR harness for the VTEC pressure switch, VTEC solenoid, Knock sensor, and IAB or buy one. But no you can not use the GSR harness without a whole lot of wiring

Thanks guys what about the crx SI harness

He's not good with wiring and neither am I so we're trying to take an easy way out

wont work, u need to use your dx with all the extra **** added. trust me thsi is the easiest way. I can wire it for you if your in western ny

Well thats not going to work cuz we're in tampa I'll just have to learn how to wire a car up thanks guys
