High rpm at 50mph
The speedometer gauge on my 1995 Honda Accord quit working so I bought a used gauge cluster and had it installed. Now the rpm is to high for example at 50 mph it indicated 3500 rpm. I believe the tach is showing the accurate rpm.
I did notice after installing the gauge cluster that it was missing the abs indicator. The check engine light is off and all indicators and gauges seem to be working.
Could anyone help on why the engine is running at a high rpm?
Thanks

did the cluster come out of an accord with the SAME type of engine as your car? IF you have a I4 then you need a cluster calibrated for an I4. Same for a V6.......if you install one into the other, your tach will be fudged up.......
