Default What year ZC did i buy?

I did the mpfi swap and now i want to change out the stock motor and put in the DOHC Zc that i got today. I brought it home and noticed that it`s a little different looking than the one that i was looking at on another site. Anyways the throttle body and fuel rail are different.

I found i mark on the block behind the oil stick that says 92. Does this mean it`s a 2nd gen? If so is there gonna be any problem installing this in my car that is set up for mpfi. I know i have to depin and extend a few wires at the dizzy for the cam sensor but is there anything else, like the fast idle valve. I`v searched but haven`t really found and real good info.

ummm they only made zc from 88-91 in europe there is no 1st or 2nd gen, unless you consider the 1st gen integra brown top a zc??? the zc should bolt right into your crx if you already have the mpfi done thats great

I figured that but there so much **** info on the internet it`s hard to know whats bullshit and good info. I don`t know much about the ZC except what i`ve read on the net. Theirs a site called fourthgenhatch.net and in the how to section under zc swap it show the honda zc, the zc and the rover. Mine is identical to the honda zc which has the different TB, and fuel rail.

I guess thats why i was asking if there is a mark on the block anywhere that would say what year is was made. I read someplace on this site that behing the oil stick there is a number that says what year it was made, mine says 92 so this dosen`t make sense to me.

im not sure about that. i know they read sorts like pr3, pr4 etc which is something to do with the years, just depends engine to engines were made different, im not sure if you can identify the exact year.... maybe the other has a upgraded fuel rail and throttle body, maybe off a b16 or b18??? hard to tell...

is there a sensor on the exhaust cam with a green plug?(thats a obd0)

If there is a cap that reads P30, then you have a obd1 zc from a jdm eg

There is another number on the block that says pm7, and my exhuast cam has a green plug, which is the cam sensor and if that wasen`t there it would be caped off.

What i think someone did was swap parts to make it work in a 90 civic, cause the throttle body has a plug were the map sensor used to be. I think this was a obd1 and someone converted it to obd0, which is great now i got a motor that someone has fucked around with.

This is what my intake looks like. This came in 92-95 and it says it`s fourth gen zc. See how the exhaust cam is capped off, mine has the sensor in it. So if i use this intake will there be any issue with the way it will run?

I had a 2nd gen ZC. They have a different intake mani, fuel rail, map sensor on TB, and the sensor on the exhaust cam is not there.

This is my intake, see how the map sensor is gone and the hole is plugged, and the fast idle valve on the TB. Will i be able to use this setup and just use the map sensor thats on my firewall or is this only for the obd1 cars. And what about the vaccumm junk on the side of my si throttle body?

I guess what i`m asking does anybody have this setup on their 90 civic and does it work.

i know you can use your firewall mounted MAP.

Are you using your SI TB? If you are, I dont think you can. I used mine and i had a major vacuum leak.
Other than that it will work.
I had my OBD-1 ZC in my 1990 hatch
