did swap no vtec
Where did you pin it in at the ECU?
Use a volt-meter to check continuity from A8 to the solenoid

the pressure, solnoid, knock sensor and 2nd o2 sensors have to be wired in for a b16 swap.. Like he said just check your a8 pin... im not even sure if my vtec works i think its just really quite?? How are you sure it doesnt work?
yeah i made a sub harness and wired in the second o2, knock, vtec oil press, and solenoid. i also have checked continuity to all of these from sensor to ecu and double checked for correct pin location. What i don't understand is why it throws 21 as soon as car is started unless it is different from obd1 cars in which from my experiences 21 is only thrown after car reaches vtec engagement rpm.

My experience too. Really odd. If the wire checks out, and the solenoid is good (12v+ test) then replace the ECU.
