How to mount the distributor on a Mini-me and gasket remover 6:00 PM 5/5/2002
I'm in the process of the Mini-me and I am using the d16a6 distributor on the a d16z6 head. What is the best way to mount this. If I turn it wrong will it mess up my timing?
Also the old gasket is bi%*h to get off. I'm using a gasket remover and the process is really slow. Its an aluminum block so I can't use a metal scraper. Any ideas.

go to napa and buy a gasket scraper wheel. it's soft plastic so it won't dig into the block at all and you can clean your piston heads w/ it too.
as for how to mount your dist, you have to make the adjustment slots bigger by removing all the material at the far end. i used a grinding wheel but be madd carefull not to slip. i'll get a pic for you....
